monogel. 的組成，是純粹的無心插柳。 在街上碰到很久沒見的朋友，慣常的敷衍對白通常話：「得閒飲茶」。碰到玩音樂的朋友，通常會說：「得閒 Jam �洁v。普遍來說，這些得閒才 Jam 的�牉繸o閒才飲的茶一樣，是從來不會發生的。 monogel 的成立，就是屬於一次得閒 Jam �洢嶊熔ㄙ哄A可謂百年難得一見。monogel 的成員來自不同的獨立樂隊，大家的 band 房都是位於同一幢無前門的工業大廈內。當時，大家所屬的樂隊都處於一個出完唱片後那一種膠著的低潮。正好大家都想在音樂上有一些新突破、新嘗試。碰巧大家玩的樂器又沒有重疊，合起來剛好是一隊 band 。加上當時大家都單身，夠得閒，所以成日 Jam 野。由於是飯後餘興節目性質，所以音樂風格是以過癮、唔洗點諗、有型出發, 是接近復古的直線搖滾樂隊。而過癮、唔洗點諗和復古直線搖滾等原則一直是今日 monogel 聲音的依歸。 雖然是玩票性質，但我們的工作效率卻十分強勁. monogel 於 2006 年 6 月推出首張唱片「出力．嬌娃」，裡面收錄了 9 首 monogel 的作品，紀錄了 monogel 這兩年多的音樂旅程。介時舞池內的汗水將會為我們而流乾，美女的比堅尼將會為我們而脫下，樂迷的零用錢將會為買「出力．嬌娃」而花光 !!!

 

monogel. was simply an after work activity when it was first started. Members of monogel all came from different bands. It was the time when these bands just release their albums, and they all need a break through in their music. It was also the time when all of them are single, with a lot of time on their hands. The influences of monogel came from the vintage school of rock, and their music follows the principles of self-amusing, zero thinking, and cool styling. Its a fun project, but its also a seriously productive project nonetheless. The first batch of monogel's compositions was written within the first 2 months of the bands formation, including their debut albums title tracks 'Harder' and 'Babe'. monogel released their debut album 'Harder-Babe' in June 2006, with 9 original compositions, which chronicled the musical journey of monogel in their first two years of rock and roll road trip.
